On 11/11/2016 I graduated with a DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (D.B.I.T), to most of you guys a diploma is not worth talking about, but to me its a very big step in life, obviously am not gonna stop my education at this level am willing to go harder with a degree as my minimum target.
The occasion as you expect wasn't that big for me, only my family attended & I was very glad that it was the same day that Prof. NGUGI WA THIONG'O, World literature living Legend received his first Honorary degree from His home Country after being recognized globally, almost winning the Nobel Peace Price For Literature.
My educational journey is Littered with many highlights, I started my schooling in Mathare North where I was born, I was a star student passing through 2 grades in a year eventualy finishing my first 8 of our 8-4-4 education system at only 12 years.
Upon entering High school & boarding school for the first time when 13yrs of age. I was enrolled in a Catholic School St. CHARLES LWANGA SECONDARY School in SUBUKIA. Life there was not easy for me as I was raised in an Adventist family & it was me raising my opinion on my right to practice my FREEDOM OF WORSHIP & other students wanting me to become their ENTERTAINMENT Captain, that got me into direct clash with the authorities & my life in that institution was doomed, so for my own good I was transfered to NGELANI HIGH SCHOOL in Machakos County.
Here I wasn't keen on education for most of the time.("I don't know if its due to the fact that I was an ADOLESCENT"). I saw that he education there was not meeting my needs, ("remember I was a star student when young so I knew it & I think that also cultivated a sense of pride & self awareness in me that I was better than school). Pride comes before a fall & my fall was eminent.
I finished from "NGECHVILLE" as we called it with a D+ Contrary to the 321/500 marks that I had gotten in Primary School which was equivalent to a B. I was only 16 then, at that point in my life, I did not think I needed school, my dreams in life did not need school I wanted to be a GANGSTER, that was my biggest dream, (in my neighborhood, the biggest role models were the #SUPERSTHUGS ), but my parents advised me to go back to school, so later in 2009, I got enrolled in an Adventist school NYAMIRANGA S.D.A SECONDARY in Nyamira County.
My stay there was very brief, I got arrested & then expelled for incitement & attempted arson, but I was only trying to fight for mine & the rights of my fellow students ("JUST BECAUSE YOU STAND UP FOR YOUR RIGHTS THEY WANNA PAINT YOU A VILLAIN & SHOW THAT IMAGE TO THE WHOLE WORLD"). It was my first time in court & I was embroiled in a court case against the school in Nyamira for over a year but later the case was dismissed due to lack of evidence.
I still did not see the importance of education at that time, but I had to complete my fourth form for the second time, so I got registered & enrolled in UHURU SECONDARY SCHOOL Nairobi. My learning there was smooth & I completed with a C-, not much improvement from what I had gotten earlier but at least this would allow me to go to University & Start from Certificate level, earning my spots as I climbed through Diploma to Bachelors & So on. Still in my mind at that time I wanted to be a Gangster, so immediately after school it was a good opportunity for me to keep Thug-gin'.
It took me 6 years to complete a 4 year High School Course & I was  now 18 at that time (2010).  I was glad to be done with School & proud of myself, ("not many people in the clique I grew up with finished school"). After School with my criminal mind I was ready to hit the grind, in 2011 August while still in the Street Grind, my greatest Partner in Crime "JUNIOR" got murdered, & my life started taking a U-Turn, I enrolled for driving classes & decided to join UNIVERSITY in January 2013.
This did not come to pass as my impatience led me to leave the place my father had told me to meet him for us to go register,so I missed the opportunity & had to wait for the MAY intake. MAY came & I took the opportunity to to join K.C.A University where I did my Certificate in INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY for 3 months, but me constantly thinking about spending the next 4 years in Campus Without income made me Stop at that.
But this time I did not want to be a GANGSTER, I had started seeing life differently, ("I got a bigger picture of life after joining campus"). We sold clothes with a bunch of friends but later realizing that I wasn't making enough Cash, I thought education would help me, so in January 2014 I started my "DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY".
In 2015 I finished smoothly after being attached at City Hall & it was all crowned with my Graduation in 2016, I was glad I got a CREDIT...
I'd like this graduation to give me better opportunities & to show those coming behind me the importance of education in this times of the new struggle. I urge my fellow youth that "TO WIN THE STRUGGLE WEE NEED MORE GRADUATES FROM THE GHETTO NOT GANGSTERS", so "GHETTO YOUTH RISE & WISE UP YOURSELVES", & start seeing the bigger picture.
The crowning words on the day were made by Prof NGUGI WA THIONG'O, "reach for the Stars & it's even better if you become a star", & as normally I've always been the Milky Way.....
He also told us to own our country first before we protect it, that logic is that we cannot steal from what is already ours... These words also Sparked the new Flame of Patriotism in me, Hope my Diploma Will Help reach the Heights I've always wanted to climb.

WORD CAMP NAIROBI 2016

WORD CAMP NAIROBI 2016

December 2016 started with a bang, word press was in Nairobi on the 1st & 2nd for word camp Nairobi at PAWA254 & I was pleasured to be there as part of the volunteering crew, I happen to be a  word press user from 2015, so I surely was also going to reap a lot from the camp.
The 2 day event was not a tight sealed formal session but an engaging forum, with numerous speakers lined up on the menu to serve us with their knowledge, after which the delegates were given a chance to ask questions in order to gain more understanding or even comment & add to what the speaker said.
I was also privileged to be given a chance to perform a poetry piece “I FIGHT FOR LOVE“, before session kick off y’all know “CODE IS POETRY”, cheers word camp for the platform.
The best thing about word camp was that even after the speaker had left the stage, the conversation continued over tea, lunch & even an awesome cocktail  after party that was held on the end of DAY 2, People exchanged business cards, shared their websites & social media details even a watsapp group & a NAIROBI WORDPRESS MEET UP group on MEETUP.COM was shared for us to form a community.
The Event was covered by WordPress.tv. I got to learn a lot the 3Ps of anyone owning a blog (passion, patience & persistence), 3Cs (content, community, conversation) including on how to increase your S.E.O.(Search.Engine.Optimization).
A point that I had a vague Idea on was still stressed on at Word Camp & we were told to be Ethical in our works & worry about our posts, avoiding rude & offensive comments or inappropriate pictures. Being careless on social media may lock a user from numerous opportunities i.e your twitter account is your business card & blog your C.V. mmmmmhhh for free people like us you don’t need to limit your thinking, you only need to be ethical  & limit what you post & share on your site.
I learnt the power of a blog as a source of income, many of the speakers there work from their homes, some even from their bedrooms for only 1 or 2 hours a day but still earn from their blogs.
It was a great experience, a lot of goodies were delivered by Word Camp sponsors, T-Shirts, sunglasses, pens, stickers, badges & lots of WordPress swag.
I look forward to work  on my blogging & make more use of my blog, try to earn something from it & also sharpen my writing skills & graduate to become the author/writer that I’ve always wanted to be.
I’ll evaluate myself at Word Camp 2017 GOD willing…

WOMEN, THEIR RIGHTS & LEADERSHIP

Me & a group of artists were discussing about a bill that recently failed to be passed into law in our parliament. The bill was about women being given a third representation in the national assembly. I gave out my views but it turned out that I had used strong language & I tend to be misunderstood…. I said women had to first “SHOW THEIR METAL”.

I did not mean & don’t intend to offend women all I was showing was tough love & challenging them to be stronger. because leadership is dangerous…. I put my views in a poem below…..

  WOMEN THEIR RIGHTS & LEADERSHIP

Women, who do you want to fight for your rights is it we men,
You have something behind that love & caring display,
You got everything that you need…..
All that is remaining is for you to free your minds & make a step,
You quote strong terms, but do you live by them..????
What a man can do, a woman can do better……. OK be the Trendsetter,
Roses are not flowers alone, show your thorns,
Girls run the world, run it we fully support you…
but don’t forget to support yourselves first,
If u educate a girl you empower the whole community…………
Free us too, we are also victims of their impunity,
Power turning brother against brother, father against son,
So please try & bring the unity that we see in the vicinity, but before that you have to…
Free your minds from all the rhetoric society has put on you,
All the oppression of generations, abusive & demeaning cultures,
Then work from that point & you’ll achieve different results,
Waiting to be given will keep you waiting,
Or at best get you a rotten fruit,
but if you truly want it, its there for the taking,
That’s nature’s law…SURVIVAL FOR THE FITTEST….
I WALKED 30KM AT THE IVORY BELONGS TO ELEPHANTS EAST AFRICA WALK

Saturday June 4 2016 the IVORY BELONGS TO ELEPHANTS EAST AFRICA WALK  was officially flagged off at the KICC grounds by the first lady of the Republic Of Kenya H.E Margaret Kenyatta. The walk is led by JIM NYAMU & his team who will walk from 4th June - 30th September 2016 covering a total distance of 3200km across East Africa as they raise awareness on Elephant & Rhino poaching. & educating communities about conservation.
As my God given duty to watch over other creation. I was definitely interested in Jim's efforts on conservation. I therefore decided to join him on the first day of his walk from Nairobi - Kitengela (if not for other commitments I would have gone as far as my legs would have taken me). Poaching industry is a big market with a gross income of over 40 billion dollars annually but with devastating consequences e.g wiping out of an entire species. This has led to various world leaders including our president (who recently sent a strong message by burning one of the largest stockpile of ivory ever) putting tough measures against poaching & trade in wildlife products.
In the 1970's & 80's there were hundreds of thousands of Elephants & Rhinos roaming the plains of East Africa , but as soon as man's greed set in. The numbers have reduced drastically. With only around 2000 Rhinos remaining in Kenya (all under 24hr surveillance due to the seriousness of the matter).
Man's greed has gone too far that the Hyena is now in the endangered species list. Sooner or later man's greed will catch up with him  & he will be the next victim, but before this happens those who care must try & do something.
If we protect these animals there will be enough Ivory & Rhino horn for everyone who desires a piece. Because the numbers of these animals will increase & when they die from natural causes you will be allowed to get a piece of what you desire from them legitimately. I think this is what God intended for us (to live in harmony with nature & it will give us back its full benefits). But the opposite is evident, our greed is slowly killing us. You can see by the situation of our rivers, forests & how we treat each other. But before its too late we need more people to stand up like Jim & raise awareness & teach people on the benefits of conservation. Many industries benefit when we protect & conserve our environment. A good example is the TOURISM industry which is very big in Kenya. One of the leading sources of foreign exchange for our country, good for the transport & hotel industries, countless employment opportunities for our youth & the rest of the population. So if we say NO TO POACHING. we are assured to generate huge incomes protecting our wildlife.
I learnt a lot from my 30KM walk on that day & am gonna carry it with me for the rest of my life. I'm gonna get more involved in conservation  & also try to educate my peers on the same.
Its your responsibility too so make an effort to conserve the environment & protect wildlife.
SAY NO TO POACHING

WHY I GAVE MY LIFE TO GOD

CLICK ON THE LINK BELOW TO WATCH AN INTERVIEW ABOUT THIS DAY

4T dayz giving his soul to God
On April, 30, 2016 I decided to publicly declare my stand after 10 day teachings about the golden altar. I got baptized  at the Nairobi Central S.D.A. Church ,( there was no other better place for me). I was born & raised in an Adventist family that keeps the Sabbath. My decision was greatly influenced by the moment that we are living in.
It is evident that these are the end-times. The battle of Armageddon has begun. Some kind of (mental, political, spiritual, education) revolution is slowly brewing, people are getting more & more liberated, people are slowly taking sides & in my understanding there are only two sides in the battle. The light represented by  GOD & darkness represented by Satan.
On that particular day I chose to be a warrior under Archangel Michael & the Legion of Light. I accepted God in all his three forms (the father , the son & the holy ghost) I know it wont be a smooth ride but  ONLY GOD CAN JUDGE ME from this day henceforth. My little experience in this world has taught me not to put my trust in man, wealth, myself, family or even the government but in GOD alone.
I can assure you brother or sister you can’t find peace anywhere else, stop chasing the wind & invest in your soul. True freedom is in God, (He is the giver of free will) Eternal life, all galaxies bow to him, The Father of All Creation, The Beginning & the end  & the only one who gives you a chance to life every morning through his Grace  that never ends.
Don”t get caught up in the illusion, stop standing in the middle, choose your side in the BATTLEFIELD.
THE LORD IS MY SHEPHERD
THE BIBLE IS MY SHIELD
LOVE IS MY RELIGION

30 MINUTES OF SILENCE FOR POST ELECTION VICTORS

April 16 2016 was a very sad day for Kenya & a great slap on the face for the sacrifices made by various stakeholders towards a better , united nation from way before independence up to now.
The brief period between December 2007 & January 2008 in which Kenya was burning after a disputed general election, in my view was one of the lowest points  in the history of our great nation, Kenya was divided along "so called" tribal lines & political affiliations. Violence like never before was witnessed, Murder, Rape, displacement of persons & many crimes against humanity were committed with impunity. The aftermath was 1300 people were left dead & more than 150,000 displaced, up to now some of the IDPs have not been resettled & real & true victims of the P.E.V are yet to get justice.
My biggest worry is when will the victims get justice & what will prevent us from repeating the same cycle after every election period (we have had some relatively calm elections but the tension is always there)
I say this basically because no one has been held accountable for the crimes committed over the period showing that their is a loophole in the system or they don't care for the victims, instead they choose to ridicule them by playing politics over the matter.
A handful of us converged at the freedom corner on that day (April 16 2016) Symbolically clad in red & spent some around 30 minutes in honor of the "VICTORS" of the 2007 P.E.V. I was deeply moved by this group of Kenyans which included some of the victims & those affected. There was no music or fanfare but the silence that we kept touched me to the core of my being. Silence was not our only tool. A feeling of love & care was evident, patriotism was fully displayed & a revolutionary spirit too.( The dedication shown was unmatched, people turned & it was organized only a day earlier on social media) .
For the betterment of KENYA & the HUMAN RACE we need more of these people, people who will stand with/for justice of the victims, on April 16 2016, I stood with the victims, I chose justice for the victims, I chose silence, I chose not to dance on the graves of my fellow countrymen.
I won't remain silent for long though, I will "FIGHT FOR LOVE", I will fight to death, I will keep fighting on.................
WHAT DO YOU FIGHT FOR...........???????

GARISSA MASSACRE

This one goes out to all comrades who lost their lives in the Garissa University Terrorist Attack. I did a little something just for your memories.

           GARISSA MASSACRE

Since when did we have to take it this far,
Sons & daughters of the same father,
Religion Separates us not, it makes us sister & brother,
To sit down & watch this quietly, anything else I'd rather,
147+ victims, silence will not make me another,
I speak my fears out as slowly the courage I gather,
To go into this not hard but harder
than before when our guards were down & let them sneak through the border,
for 7hrs inside our territory, with the police air wing off the radar,
They say nothing new under the sun,
but comrades dying by the gun,
While the rescue plane is out on holiday having fun,
is a pure sign that much needs to be done,
So much that things will never be the same again,
We refuse to make this just another statistic but a turning point,
This is it its time to focus on real issues,
We can't take it no more,
Stand up & fight the best way you know how,
Use your microphones, pens, music, poems, art, love, books
& anything else in your artillery...
The struggle is real we need to bring back the sanity that once was,
AL-Shabaab you can't stop us,
We are coming for you KENYANS UNITED......
